EAR is the top radio audience measurement in France.

  • Determine the audience for radio and stations in France on an average day
  • Identify the profile of listeners based on sociodemographic, consumption and lifestyle criteria

 

EAR - Etude Audience Radio is an ongoing survey:
  • 100,000 interviews conducted with the population ages 13 and older
  • distributed over 10 months from September to June, including Sundays and holidays
 

The survey is conducted from Médiamétrie’s survey fields, based in Amiens and in Petit Quevilly (in the Rouen metropolitan area) via the computer assisted telephone interview (CATI) system The people interviewed are surveyed between 5:30 pm and 9:30 pm on their landline or mobile telephone (those who have only a mobile phone). The sociodemographic representativeness and the geographic stratification of the sample are monitored daily, and the interviews are distributed equally among the survey days within a single period.
 

 

Using EAR, you can determine, for example:

  • The average audience for one day, for a station
  • Audience by time slot
  • Audience for over 250 targets
  • The audience share of a station
  • Listening time by listener

The results of EAR survey are published four times a year

  • January/March period: Released mid-April
  • April/June period: Released mid-July
  • September/October period: Released mid-November
  • November/December period: Released mid-January
